A new scheme of registration for Gas Installers replaces Corgi on 01 April 2009. Not much loved by its members, Corgi has gradually become a recognised brand amongst the public. To no avail! TV show to mark Industry's Anniversary

Programmers for the BBC1 early evening topical events One Show are understood to be considering a feature on the UK launderette industry, which celebrates its 60th anniversary in May 2009.

Small print reminder

Owners have been warned by NALI vice-chairman to read closely the small print in their insurance policies. A requirement in some is that lint traps are cleaned daily, and failure to do this result in a 'fire' claim (whether or not involving a lint trap) being rejected.
